Souter Family
There are three of us in the family, Lindsay, Jennifer and Stephen.
We live in Portobello, Edinburgh. It is a lovely place to live. When
the sun shines, people from Edinburgh flock to the beach. Sometimes I
even get out on my rollerblades.
Following on from the supposed death of class based identity
this website is a collection of consumption choices. If we listen
to the social scientists we are what we
watch, read, listen to and wear. We are defined by our shopping
choices.
So read this and learn about us. It
is a serious academic exercise, not just a what we did on our
holidays type website. Ahem.
We have a database of Edinburgh Rock bands, a
few ideas for daytrips with the kids, a few
classic albums you might want to bend an ear
to. There is the usual gratuitous page about cats
and about the wean.
